This function permits you to temporarily leave your Macintosh for a break, avoiding any exploitation of your Archivist files.
You must give and confirm a password. If somebody tries to use your Archivist file while you are gone, this person will be invited to type the password. If the password does not fit, visual and sound warnings will inform that person and your nearby colleagues that you are the victim of an intrusion.
If the intruder shuts down your Macintosh and opens it gain, he will have a regular access to your Archivist files unless you previously activated the Protection menu item. So for a maximum of protection, activate the global access protection in addition to the “Back soon” protection.
You can reach a higher level of protection with a commercial protection software that restrict the access to your Macintosh.
